چکیده

This paper presents a nonsmooth optimization technique for solving a special μsynthesis control problem. Attention is focused on controller synthesis problems that involve real diagonal scalings. An academic example illustrates the synthesis algorithm and a comparison is made with the well-known DK-iteration algorithm. This paper shows that nonsmooth optimization synthesis can provide better solutions than the standard DK-iteration algorithm.

Nonsmooth µ synthesis

We revisit robust complexand mixed-μ synthesis problems based on upper bounds and show that they can be recast as specially structured controller design programs. The proposed reformulations suggest a streamlined handling of μ synthesis problems using recently developed (local) nonsmooth optimization methods where both scalings or multipliers and a controller of given structure are obtained sim...

Optimal Design of FPI^λ D^μ based Stabilizers in Hybrid Multi-Machine Power System Using GWO ‎Algorithm

In this paper, the theory and modeling of large scale photovoltaic (PV) in the power grid and its effect on power system stability are studied. In this work, the basic module, small signal modeling and mathematical analysis of the large scale PV jointed multi-machine are demonstrated. The principal portion of the paper is to reduce the low frequency fluctuations by tuned stabilizer in the atten...

An efficient one-layer recurrent neural network for solving a class of nonsmooth optimization problems

Constrained optimization problems have a wide range of applications in science, economics, and engineering. In this paper, a neural network model is proposed to solve a class of nonsmooth constrained optimization problems with a nonsmooth convex objective function subject to nonlinear inequality and affine equality constraints. It is a one-layer non-penalty recurrent neural network based on the...

Two-stage Production Systems under Variable Returns to Scale Technology: A DEA Approach

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric approach for performance analysis of decision making units (DMUs) which uses a set of inputs to produce a set of outputs without the need to consider internal operations of each unit. In recent years, there have been various studies dealt with two-stage production systems, i.e. systems which consume some inputs in their first stage to produce ...

Second-order nonsmooth optimization for H ∞ synthesis

The standard way to compute H∞ feedback controllers uses algebraic Riccati equations and is therefore of limited applicability. Here we present a new approach to the H∞ output feedback control design problem, which is based on nonlinear and nonsmooth mathematical programming techniques. Our approach avoids the use of Lyapunov variables, and is therefore flexible in many practical situations.
